Rich - ok, i'm doing a slight test. the idea is that I will preprocess the hourly chat text before I create the site entry. and the goal will be, if one person speaks multiple lines in a row. Those lines will be combined into a single entry. each line will be ended with a period, and all the lines spoken by one person in a row will be put into a single paragraph, preceded by their nick. that way, is someone speaks multiple lines, like I am right now. All those lines will be combined with their nick preceeding the paragraph. that will allow someone to do a monologue like this while in the chat, but the site post will come out as if they wrote a single paragraph. that way, when they are alone in the channel, they can write an essay, that will appear on the site at the top of the hour a bit more clearly than every single line showing up individually. at least that is the goal. We will see how many attempts it takes me to get the code right. it's nice that it is almost the top of the hour, so I don't have that long to wait to see if my adjustment worked without having to force through a refresh.
